I have trouble using my eggs because the smell puts me off, everyone else says they don't know what I am talking about, I don't smell it in store bought eggs, I think it's because they are fresher and haven't be sanitized and haven't sat long enough to lose that butt smell, but I think only some of us can smell it. So I feel for you, I suppose baking heats up the smell and spreads it.
hm....maybe because of the freshness, but I don't remember this smell in all the many farm fresh eggs I have eaten and baked with in my lifetime. I can't think how sanitizing as they do for commercial eggs would change the smell of the egg itself, but maybe the long sit, or perhaps it is something only some people can smell or only some chickens produce....very strange.
