Bald Area

Very good point. When her new features come in, you'll have to take it off, at least temporarily, so she can remove the quill debris. Otherwise she'll be dying itching.

How does this look to you all? I made it out of stuff on hand. So the material is an old pair of my daughter's jeans. The straps are off of an old bra, because I wanted adjustable straps as the pullet grows. The adjustable straps also helped get it on. She was NOT happy. I've never made one (obviously) so I wanted to make sure it looks ok. I crossed the bra straps over her chest so the buckles weren't under her wings. I'm not a good seamstress btw, so I'm looking for functionality and not quality.

Oh, one other thing. I was inspecting her again and I saw that her comb has been pecked off. This poor girl has been through the ringer. Will it grow back? I don't mind if it's gone, I was just wondering.

The apron looks pretty good. Her comb will grow back some, but there'll probably be some scarring.

@Creteloc Can you post some photos of her comb, the other chicks and your housing?

Where are you housing your chicks - are they still inside in a brooder?
How much space do they have?
Do you have other chickens you will be integrating them with - if not, is the coop and run ready for your youngsters?
What's your plans for the 2 cockerels you have?

Have you noticed if the 2 cockerels are already starting to mate your pullets? The damage you are seeing is most likely from picking. Having enough space for them could help reduce some bullying/aggression.

What type of food/treats are you feeding?
