Hello all!

My girl Hope has become broody and I’m trying to break her of this. Today we picked her up to get her from sitting in her box and I noticed her belly is bald, raw and red. Is this normal? I want to say i read that they will pull their feathers out sometimes when they brood, but I don’t know what to do about it if thats the case. Should i stop panicking? Is she okay?

Just make sure she eats, drinks and tends to herself properly, you know gets her dust bathing in.
Broody hens are beyond stubborn, lol!
Keep check make sure she dosent pick up lice or mites, they tend to get those super easy since they don't move. :)
Oh thank dog! I was so scared. Are there any warning things/signs i should look for? She eats and drinks good when i can get her moving around. She’s just being so stubborn!!! (Thank you for replying:)

Ha! She is currently in her favorite dirt hole now - can’t wait until she is back to her regular chicken programming- thanks again!
