We have one bird that went bald on her entire butt (the fluffy part) because we had a plucker bird. We had to rehome the plucker because the other bird's bottom was red and bald. In addition the one that had her bottom plucked, also had some ruffled (but not bald) feathers on her back. I assumed the plucker did all this damage.
Then recently my daughter noticed that one of our bantys was a little bald under her main feathers...can't see it but if you scratch her you notice it on her chest. As a precaution I got some DE powder and dusted all the birds last weekend. Today my daughter says the banty is worse. Now I'm wondering if the bald one had something else going on and maybe the plucker bird didn't do all that damage!!
Any ideas/thoughts on what this could be? I have looked but can't see any bugs on them. They are all happy and laying fine. They are buff orps and about eight months old.
If pictures will help I can go out and take some too.
Thanks!
