They do need a lot of ventilation in the coop, so I would weigh the issue of too much light versus less air circulation. Perhaps shade your nestboxes or shade the windows. Some of the articles mention that many commercial operations keep lights on day and night. When they peck feathers, many eat them as a source of protein.
