Bald chicks.....

    So the Missus and I wondered into a local store that was selling chicks. They were selling chicks from Hoovers, they had some of their Hoover's black chicks that had no feathers on most of their backs and necks. Seemed about a week plus old most of the wings feathered, what was going on with them? No I didn't get any just curious as to what I was seeing. Will try and go back to get pictures

    Perhaps they were naked neck Turkens ?

    Maybe they're the naked neck breed? I don't know watch for signs of picking at other chicks.

    Maybe they're the Turken breed. Did they look like small Turkeys?

    Nope just like every other black colored chick in there. It was their entire back and most of the back of the neck. Rest of the bird looked fine.
