Wry tail in chickens - very interesting, this is what I found online. Never gave it a thought before, I must check mine to see if anyone has this also.

Apparently the breeder we got our crooked tail Buff Leghorn is not very selective about their genetic breeding program! This is the condition the chick was shipped by them!

It was a sticky pine needle in Marty’s coiffe- she did not appreciate me yanking it and the feathers stuck to it, off her head. Sorry!

Smoke is really bad, last few days could hardly tell if the sky was blue or grey. Thankfully it rained and cleared it up a little.
It really sucks that Jasper is burning. But it is weird.. if you look in the footage of the fires, it is only the houses burning not the bushes and trees. I thought that was really weird.

Living trees have moisture in them dead wood, including homes don't (at least in comparison to live trees/shrubs), so they burn more easily. There's also plenty of building materials that burn really easily too.

I would start with, “you did a great job today, my only concern is your wanting to constantly argue with me”, then follow it up with “please just stick to doing a fabulous job like today, I do not want any arguments “.

If they still act up, run them off, and hire someone else.

Candling medium brown eggs is hard! I couldn't get the blue or green ones at all other than to see the air pocket.

Cochin...there was movement in both cochin eggs but you can only just make out a big vein here...

DH and I play the WINGSPAN game with all 5 expansions of bird cards from around the world and it is breathtaking how many gorgeous birds there are in God's world -- ducks, geese, birds of prey, storks, hummingbirds, doves, parrots, vultures, ibis, herons, gulls, etc etc -- even a prairie CHICKEN and a jungle fowl chicken!
