Hi. I have a pen of about 60 five and a half week old chicks, from 6 or 7 different breeds. Out of all these chicks, I've got two silver laced cochins and both have become completely bald on their backs and tops of their wings. I don't see any irritation of their skin that would suggest lice or picking and all the others are just fine. Is this a phase that cochins go through as they feather out, or is there something else going on?
