bald/dry spot on the back of head

this is my 1.5 year old Black Australorp, Blackey! She's the sweetest girl. She has developed this bald spot on her head over the last month and I have not been able to find any mites on her, either under the wings or by the vent. Also she is at the top of the pecking order of 5 hens and I've never seen anyone really mess with her. Any ideas if this is mites or something else?

She seems healthy otherwise. Full of energy and eating and drinking normally. Also, the other four hens show no signs of feather loss.

I would use some Nustock on it. It is a sulfur/pine oil cream from the feedstore that tastes bad to keep others hens from pecking her and will heal it.
