Bald duckling

I have a mallard duckling whose family was wandering around the city and were chased back to the river by passers-by... This little guy got left behind. He has always been a little small (32g) but was also almost bald on one side and fluffy on the other. I've now had it for a week and it's staying bald if not getting worse! There is almost a perfect line down his back. He is growing but very slowly.
What can I do to help him?!
He's eating chick crumb which is for ducklings and chicks. Fresh water, chance to bath etc.

Any help much appreciated.

Cookie paula, he could just have some trouble with development.

I would start giving poultry vitamins with electrolytes and probiotics two to three times a week, add a teaspoon of flax meal per cup of food.
