I woke up this morning and found one if our chicks, nugget ( named by my daughter) wind looked matted. Once I separated her and got a better look it looks like her skin is completely bare under her left wing and some of the fur is matted down. Any suggestions to what this is and how to fix it? Do I keep her separate from the other 5 chicks?

That isn't just a bald spot. It appears to be a wound. Am I correct?

If it is she will need to have it cleaned and covered/hidden. Clean it with soap and water, and dab it with a tiny bit of plain Neosporin. Her wing should cover it so that it is hidden, but if not you will need to put something over it like the world's tiniest chicken saddle. Or you can try to rig up some gauze and Vet Wrap to wrap around her. A saddle with long sides will stay in place better.

Once we cleaned it off we thought it looked like one of the other girls had pooped on her while they were roosting. One of them has liquid poop. No blood or anything just not formed. She wasn't bothered at all from me cleaning it.

Well then. My mistake. Birds have very few feathers in their wing pit areas. That's why it is the ideal spot to put topical meds. I wouldn't worry about it.

Good luck.
