Bald spot on silkie

Hello,

Just wanted to inquire if someone knows about this. My 1 month silkie has a small bald spot on his head, it looks bald doesnt like hed been picked on.

Anyways just wanted to see if it'll go away or permanent, etc. Or causes? if any or just genetics

I have one who has the same bald spot as you are describing. I asked the same question and they say it probably will be covered by its crest later on. She/ he is almost a month old now and the bald spot is still there. Hopefully it will go away. Here is a pic of her/him when she/ he was a few days old:

It should grow in as it matures. Different chick breeds have different high/low/bald spots!
