bald Wings

Hi guys,

My light Sussex has gotten a bald bum from feather picking over the winter. The feathers are growing in again but now she has bald spots on her wings. How do I stop this feather picking

The two most common causes for feather picking is a lack of protein in their diet and over crowding. How large is the coop and run and how many birds do you have? What are you feeding them? Try upping the amount of protein they are getting. You can give them things you know are high in protein. Cut back on the amount of scratch they get, or you can change their feed for one that has a higher amount of protein. Any of these three options will give them more protein.
