I HAVE 1 WEEK OLD JUMBO CORNISH X ROCKS AND 2 OUT OF 24 ARE LOSING SOME OF THEIR FLUFF. ONE ON JUST HIS BACK SIDE AND THE OTHER ON HIS BACK SIDE AND A LITTLE ON HIS BELLY. MY QUESTION IS, IS THIS NORMAL?? DO THEY LOSE SOME FLUFF BEFORE THEIR FEATHERS COME IN?

Yeah, but cornish x rocks grow so big it takes longer for there feathers to come in. Even when they are full grown they will have some bald spots.

Are you raising these for meat?

YES WE ARE RAISING THEM FOR MEAT. MY RIR'S ARE COMING IN ON JUNE 19. THESE WE ARE KEEPING FOR EGGS. SO TO SEE SOME PATCHES OF SKIN IS NORMAL?? IT LOOKS REALLY GROSS!!!!

Mine are even more bald than in the pictures. The 5 week olds I have right now are just starting to feather like real birds and loose thier bald spots.

Blad patches are normal for this breed. They will look a little ragged for a while.
