So, I got 5lbs of bananas for a dollar at the store cause they were speckled! Perfectly good inside no bruising or anything.
I tried feeding some to my babies, 1 and 3 weeks old and most of them leave it alone and the few that will give it a try go crazy for the peel and sit on the actual banana as a seat while feasting on the peel... I thought chickens ate lots of stuff, but they're turning up their beaks at apples, kiwi, tofu, green beans, asparagus, rice, strawberries... the list goes on.
Is this going to change? Should I keep putting the stuff in there to see if they change their minds?
The only thing they go nuts for is when I chop up weeds from the yard, henbit and chickweed.
