zip ties later and voila! I had contacted the local pigeon racing club to see if they wanted her back but the lady texted back for us to keep her as they are usually culled. I presumed a male bird at first and named it Rodger the racing pidgeon because of the all white cere but upon further reading decided it must be a female..who knows 
now I can't think of a girls name at all

Just take your time. I know how you feel, I'm on SS now and not up to heavier work. Given your FL climate you can figure a way to give her a protected roost/nest box without too much heavy construction. She will be fine in the cage you have for the time being.I may have to divide the horse stall/chicken run if I can...and then yes, get some more friends..she seems lonely. But construction type work and my 62 year old bad back don't always agree

You could place a small cardboard box at one end with a piece of wood on top to give her a place to roost up off the floor. I would probably enclose about half the cage with that tarp and leave half open. Twist ties, bungee cords and tarps will work magic!
She will also need some grit, smaller than chicken size.
Chick grit is fine. Good job taking such good care of her? He? Does it coo much?
