we buried her this morning, me and my grandpa that is, my mom went to take her bf home. It was sooooooooo horrible, even my grandpa was startin' to cry, and he's a ex- usaf vietnam vet. You can't imagine how much these wonderful birds effect your life til' their gone................ After we buried her i found a single feather by my feet, it was hers. I'll keep it forever..................

I did the same thing when I had to bury my 2 Canada Geese. I raised them when I was 13 and when they were old enough to go out in our back yard during the day, a dog jumped in our yard and killed both of them.

I found 2 feathers when we burried them. I out them in a little box and still have them now...15 years later!! I get them out every so often and touch them, give them a kiss and put them back in. Those babies were SO special to me. I have a feather from each and pictures.
