I am on a search for bantams with very low levels of aggression in the roosters (towards hens, each other, and humans), that are ideally also fairly friendly (rather than super skittish), and are clean-legged and not excessively fluffy.

On my list of possibilities right now I have modern game bantams, japanese bantams, and dutch bantams. I have some young rosecomb bantams currently which seem promising. I'm looking for any suggestions of breeds (true bantams or bantam versions of largefowl) and actual personal experience with those breeds (including the 3 I listed) - I haven't found brief breed profiles to be very reliable.

I like chickens with a bold and outgoing personality but want to avoid dealing with excessive fighting! It seems like a lot of those known for docility are also feather-legged or very fluffy, which is not my preference.
thank you :)

I would recommend Japanese bantams. I have had several varieties in the past and the Japanese were the most docile. Old English game were also friendly.
However, alot can depend on individual bird personalities. You may get a bad actor in the bunch.
As far as the most friendly large breed, my choice would be Silver Grey Dorking. Not sure if they have a miniature version of that one or not?
I will say that my expierence is with a flock consisting of one or two roosters. I also free range so lots of space.
If you are raising birds in small spaces with multiple roosters the outcome may be much different As some situations lead to higher aggression and frustration.

I have experience with Japanese roosters and hens personally in my opinion the hens are the sweetest being ever and the roosters are iffy some aren’t to bad but I’ve have had a lot that want to attack me and my hens

ive had 2 japanese bantam roosters in the past (and a few hens), one each from 2 different hatcheries, and both were very meek and non aggressive but quite skittish (however neither were handled a great deal so they might be better with more handling.) The old english game roosters i've had from hatcheries will fight each other until they are covered in blood, biting pieces of each others comb off, etc., regardless of how much space they were given (ive had some ultimately get along but not more than 3 at once). I do wonder if any/most OEGB's from show lines are less aggressive! aside from the rooster aggression, i do find OEGB's extremely friendly and charming, but im really trying to find birds that are similar but fight less. thanks for your input!

huh that is interesting because i would never expect teeny roosters like that to attack people much lol, good to know. the hens i had were all veryyy skittish, but they may have been better with some determined handling. definitely not naturally tame, though.
