Bantam breeds...

I need to buy some bantams for a new coop that I'm starting that will be separate from all my regular hens... What are the best bantam breeds? Which bantams lay the most?

You should buy what you like, I like cochins and d'uccle, but that doesn't mean they are the best, if you are interested in eggs I would choose laying breeds like Wyandotte and wellsummers, though most bantam I know are broody a lot,and lay well until a clutch is formed than start sitting.

You can try an assortment, and see what you like that way, or study up on breeds, and order some of several that look interesting. I've had d'Uccles for a long time, but there are many other interesting types. It's about eye candy, after all! Mary
