Hello all! I have been loving the community thus far!

I have a bantam chicken, approximately 1 1/2 weeks old. So far, the chicken has been getting a little bit of pasty butt, but I have been cleaning it off pretty well. Today, I went to check on the chick, and it was completely "pasted over". Once I washed the poo off with warm water, I realized a very swollen anus. It was not inverted, just very swollen and painful looking.
Not sure if this has anything to do with it, but he/she keeps trying to hide under the other chicks' wings. Does not seem to be very "sickly".

I am attaching photos. It is of the back end. Notice how it looks like there is not much hair there. A little bit ripped out when I was removing the poo, but it does look pretty hairless.

So, I put some olive oil on it and am hoping for the best. It is a very timid, sweet chicken (either that or it is hurting bad).

Any ideas? Also, keep in mind I will probably not be able to buy anything at the store if need be considering the sickness going around.

I don't know where you are, but feed mills and feed stores are still open, and you can get what you need. Most will deliver for you, or, you can drive there and they will bring it out to your car. I'm sorry, but I'm not sure what's wrong with the baby. Maybe others will chip in here.
