Bantam ducks are a thing??
I must have some! I am now on a mission!! All the eggs, all the awesome duckiness and smaller feed bill? (No pun intended). Am I understanding this correctly?? My hubby will not be happy I have been let in to the world of MORE BIRD excitement

Yay to bantams! I have a few along with my large fowl. I'll be adding 6 more (mixed bantams) tomorrow, day olds to go under two broody girls.
Anyway this is some of them. Two silkie's, Pekin bantam (aka bantam Cochin), bantam Polish, Pekin x D'uccle and a frizzle Polish x D'uccle

Yup! I think it's good I'm taking a break around now. The world seemed to be out to get our chickens for a while. Like, everything bad that could possibly happen to our chickens happened. Flystrike, internal laying, cocci epidemics, hawk attacks, coon attacks, bear attacks(not one, not two, but five stinking times!!!)... Yeah, I think some time to recover is going to be good. :/

...I went for two and came back with 5 Pullets the last time..
Now I have 12 Pullets/Hens and a 10 month old Cockerel.
