They're very interesting looking. Is Khaki a diluted black coloration, like blue, or lavender? Or is it brown based like certain blue colors?
It's a dilution of black; he's essentially a very light Fawn SDW because he got a double dose of dun (Id), which is what causes the brown Fawn color on Fawn SDWs. It's not very apparent in the picture, but in person, I can see where his silver hackles are versus his chest or tail, which are distinctly beige-colored. My (very basic) understanding is that khaki is essentially dun's version of splash. When you breed dun to dun, you naturally get approximately 1/4 khaki (Id/Id), 1/2 dun (Id/i+), 1/4 black (i+/i+), just like blue x blue breedings give you 1/4 splash (Bl/Bl), 1/2 blue (Bl/bl+), 1/4 black (bl+/bl+). Not sure why khaki is referred to as a 'sport' in this case, but it generally is, so I'm in the habit of calling him a Khaki sport.
