FSDW OEGBs Sybil and Winston this morning, begging for more pieces of my bagel. :love

For just a bit of context... We got a sudden cold snap last night, and I have a few birds in the middle of severe molts that were not handling it well at all, so I brought them inside until this cold snap is over. Well, the OEGB girls were acting a bit iffy, too, and I figured if I was bringing birds in, I may as well bring them in, too, right? View attachment 1949131

...So, long story short, I have 8 chickens in various pens throughout the house.
...I run heat in my chickens and Ducks Coop. :D

I really don't have any safe way of running heat out to the coop and I don't want to put my whole flock at risk for a few of them, so inside they came. The rest of the flock is having no trouble, it was just a hand full of hens who chose the end of October to lose all of their feathers.

And the OEGBs because I'm weak. :p

Well your house will get filled with chicken dander before they can go outside..:sick
I'm very allergic to chickens..:p
Although I have them anyways..

Haha, yeah, I get that. For the time being, it was my only solution to the problem. :) No one here is allergic to chicken dander and the dander / dust they put out will blend in nicely with the regular dust and the cat and dog hair that's already everywhere, so I think we're good. :gig

Bahahaha....:lau....:thumbsup
That's great news..:clap

 We used to have a ton of dogs, but now we're down to just the one. She sheds enough for like 5 dogs, though! :th And then 4 cats on top of that, one of which you get a handful of fur every time you pet her. We vacuum and dust and all, but it's just impossible to keep up with it all the time, so... I guess it's decoration at this point. :p And that's just the pets that are supposed to be indoors. ;)

I hear you...Definitely hard to stay on top of the fur and dust. I try but fail..:p
Definitely nothing like my Moms house which is like a showroom..:th

Haha, it's a losing battle! Eventually you've just got to accept that the fur is part of your life. :p

My aunt's house was kind of like that growing up. I was terrified to walk anywhere or touch anything when we'd visit for fear I'd get in trouble for getting it dirty.
Yep...My mother's house. :hmm She vacuumes and dusts even though it's clean. I hated it growing up. My sister and I vacuumed and dusted as our chores. We would play Cinderella..:lau
I'm definitely not Mollymaid or Suzy Homemaker..:gig
