So a while ago, I got two little chicks. One was a bantam cochin and one was a polish. I've also had some problems with a skunk getting my chickens/ducks. I haven't seen my polish all day, and I'm thinking that the skunk probably got her. I have a coop, and some full sized chickens. Every time my bantam goes into the coop they run her out. So, I was wondering.... how bad of an idea would it be for me to put her in with my quail?

Some people have done that successfully. One fellow put his two bantam Americanas roosters who were being beaten in with his quail and they bred the quail and he had hybrids. He was selling the eggs on Ebay this summer. I don't know if a quail rooster could breed a bantam hen though. You need to watch out for aggression between the girls. The bantam will be alright but keep an eye that she doesn't hurt the girl quail.

You can try but be VERY careful. You will and probably have heard JamesTheBald talk about chickens spreading diseases to quail. However, if you've been keeping them both trouble free for any length of time I'd say it's fine. It's not a problem here in the UK and in Canada, just in the US as far as I know, so if you're here or in Canada then it won't be an issue anyway.
