Thanks! My young boy just needs some exercise. When it is nice weather I have him in a big aviary pen so he can strengthen his wings. His bad weather pen is too small for exercise.

Hi, my 4-H club does a project grid every year, and this year the selected Cochin's. I was wondering if anyone knows of any breeders who sell chicks. Thanks!

Very sad Christmas today. While we were upstairs opening gifts our dog Holly was outside terrorizing our chickens. She killed 3, injured one and one is lost. We can't find her. I lost some of my best (favorite) birds.

I have just started...so far I have:
calico
silver-laced
mille fleur
partridge

all are chicks and I am not quite sure yet what the colors of some will be yet. I will be selling out the ones I don't want...locally.

and BTW, is the color white in Cochins a recessive gene?

In the U.S. they are known as Cochin bantams. Pekins are over in Europe. They have different standards.

Yeah, but I am just so used to 'the Pekin bantams' that it just clicksXD
