Bantam Cochin Question!

I bought a couple 2 week old Cochins from a lady local to me, I've had a really hard time trying to figure out what color this one is so I reached out to her and she finally answered me. The father is a Columbian Cochin and she thinks the mother is a black Cochin. Does that sound accurate? Does anyone know what that mix will look like?

Looks like it may be Columbian. When I had that color in my flock it was a very dominant color in crosses.

Black is very dominant so chicks will be mostly black. Males may have some silvery leakage on the neck and saddle.

Sounds like the mother appears black but is actually carrying the partridge gene, which would allow half her chicks to be Columbian.

I got a calico, mottled Japanese (that was supposed to be a rosecomb) and some D'Uccle from her as well. I may not keep it anyway, especially if it's a dominant coloration. I would like to add when I met her out to buy them she brought this one instead of another calico even though I confirmed with her through photos of what I was looking for. I would really like to buy more calico, they're hard to find in my area but I'm unsure of the lady at this point.

Agreed. Looks like a gold columbian AKA buff columbian.

It has white tips coming in on the wings.
