Bantam Cochins

Picked these two bantam Cochins as chicks in February. Was curious as to what breed they might be or mix of breed. I thought Colombian but they have some penciling.

They look like light Brahma to me. What comb type do they have?

I think they're Brahma as well, but likely mixed coloring.

The one on the right in the second photo has a single comb, so not a Brahma. They're probably mixed color Cochins.

I've had single combed Brahma. So it does happen.

Oh, I believe it. But there are also Colombian Cochins as well. Who knows for sure? If they came from a hatchery they must be one or the other, so take your pick. If they came from a backyard breeder then they could be mixes of the two.

Those look like Brahmas with a mixed color or Cochins with a mixed color. What type of comb do they have? If pea, then it is the former, and if single, then it is the latter.

Since they have single combs they are likely just mixed color Cochins.
