The first time I would like to try the black and blue and if all goes well then the second time I would like all three hens eggs. Does that sound ok?

I can do that or just give you a couple extra.. (I'll make sure you get at least 6 of the blk and blu). I've been collecting a blk and blu one day then the buff the next so if they stay on this schedule, we're good to go

funny thing... I caught my roo, Chow Yung Fat, on the nest today. He was all fluffed up and singing while one of his girls was laying...How cute.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I received Msbears test batch today, 2-7, and they all arrived perfectly intact due to excellent packing! Thank you so much and I'll post fertility results when I candle around day 5. I'm putting them in the incubator sometime tomorrow.

Thanks, sackman. I know you were interested in mille cochins a while back.. Just wanted to let you know I received a dozen from Lynne aka wmicasa1. 9 out of 12 are developing nicely and they flew to WV all the way from California. ...she has lovely mille fleur cochins and there is a post about them on this forum...may have to scroll down a few pages or do a search.

Thanks, Kathy. Im pretty confident in my columbians but Im honestly concerned about the mottleds. The eggs I've cracked recently have not been fertile... one was and I believe it was the buff (she's a lot less fluffy) so Im going to hold off on shipping any of my mottleds until I can feel great about sending them. I've given them all one heck of a trimming but I think Im going to have to resort to AI.

I really didn't want to get THAT involved but I want to get some babies for myself!!

I'll keep you posted as to my efforts

and when they will be available. ..And, please, I want everyone to be confident in purchasing from me... my policy is I will guarantee at least a 50% hatch. I cannot refund money but I will replace your entire order for only the actual shipping costs.

Wish me luck.

AI wasn't neary as quick and painless as I thought it would be

I had no success today. I trimmed all three of them waaaaaay back and Im going to keep trying every day to see if we can get any progress.

what fun.

and I caught my blue girl hangin around the nest an awful lot today so I may have just missed an entire season with her.

lol i had an rir (believe it or not) hang around the nest a lot today....it would be sooooooo cool if she went broody!! then id go straight to your place and take any egg i could get my hands on lol.....even if i hatched em for you...id just like to see an rir go broody and one of my own hatch some chicks

I just heard back from my test hatcher and I am soooo bummed

My mottleds are all clear and I assume they are infertile. I've had several here that I've tried to incubate and wound up throwing out. All the ones I have cracked are not fertile. I've attempted AI to no avail ....That is a lot more complicated than I thought it was going to be so Im thinking of selling the mottled trio.

Out of 6 columbians, only one is showing signs of veining. Every one I crack IS fertile so I've come to the conclusion that these are just extremely fragile eggs. To those whom I have already sent columbians to, I will honor the 50% hatch guarantee... so I will replace you orders for free until you get 3 chicks

but Im afraid this will be it for shipping eggs.. I will be hatching more and could sell baby chicks but I don't want to get into shipping them..

Tiki, I so bummed for you.. I really wanted you to have some
