Bantam Duck Page

but it is spring here where i live, my gorgeous 72-75 temps are just terriffic, my fruit trees in the green house are all blooming, happened to notice them today, lol, I caught all trees at a Ace hardware in parking lot late, late fall 80% off, so packed my 2004 Chev Cavilar down with them hanging out the windows and trunk tied down 65 miles down I-16 interstate at 80 miles a hour coming home from a meeting, and put them all in my greenhouse my hubby buiilt me, you couldn't stuff nothing else in it LOL, for the mess I got packed in it, but nevertheless, it is great weather here, as soon as Roy finishes my new chicken barn, I am going to plant my fruit trees out at my new pens, wooo hooo, hope I have a peach this year, lol, I have tried to locate the mazuri feed all week within 100 miles driving distance, talked to egg biologist person on why can't them ducks get out for 4 hours of the most BS or may not be, but had to indure it, and I am just so tired of this failure, I am straight just disguisted I had watched him or her so careful, monitoring the every steps of proper incubating, I have another one that is again, a freaking tiny egg, it is so small, but it is developing with the great little veins, I have it a incubator ALL BY ITSELF, so it don't get even bumped, but I am not going to spritz it, I am not going to do nothing but keep it turned and water in the incubator, I here peeping now with my 25 Silver appleyards they developed nicely also, and I have one that I candled and its gone bad, all the way at the end of the hatch, I just don't for the life of me understand the crap, but will have some pictures of them in a few days, oh got 8 Snowy mallards they will be coming out oh Wed. maybe, and bought some East Indie eggs to add to my flock genetics, they in with the snowy, so will have some babies, just not my heart longing to hatch my calls. I am calling England tomorrow and I don't care if cost me a thousand dollars for the call and talk to that national call duck hatcher guy, can't think of his name I have it here somewhere, but something has got to change with this heart ache.

If any one comes across the person looking for the pyrenees dog that she had or hers had gotton old and was going down hill tell her on bestfarmbuys.com someone is looking to give one 6 months old to a good home said she had to many or something, I couldn't find her post THANKS YOU ALL

The BEI's are soooo much fun!! They love to play in the water even more then the calls we have. However I am a little concerned over the males intelligence!!!! He apparently LOVES brain freezes. He eats some snow, then sits there panting for a few seconds, shakes his head and does it again. Hmmmmmmmmm. I will try to get some pics, although they are apparently mud fiends looking for worms.

I must rehome my four call ducks. I have two white females, a gray drake (mallard colored) and I think a gray female. Not sure on her because she doesn't quack like the two whites.

I hatched 'em myself and the drake has JUST gotten his drake curl feather.

Not great photos, sorry. The two white girls each have a droopy wing, opposite side from each other.

Anybody anywhere around Sacramento want to give my babies a good home?
(I am heartbroken about this - it is per landlady decree, she doesn't mind chickens but the ducks are too much.

Hello, mini-duck lovers! I am planning on building an aviary and putting a small pond in it. It would house my chickens (9), two racing pigeons (and possibly a few of their offspring), and I think bantam size ducks would be lovely in there. Would it work to put them in with chickens? They would have their own nesting box/ shelter, of course. Also, what is a BEI? They have beautiful feathers! Are there any specific breeds you would recomend? I would like ones that are friendly and pretty. I looked at the wild-type breeds such as wood ducks, but I think a more domesticated one may be better (more friendly). Any input would be much appreciated!

BEI is Black East Indie-they are gorgeous, aren't they?
Really as far as bantam ducks are concerned, there are the BEIs, the Calls and I THINK there is a Buff that is a bantam.
I am so not the person to give a non-biased opinion about which ducks to keep-for me it's Call ducks all the way. Very friendly little things.
