30 so far and rolling...my ducks just started laying again after the "Moltathon" we had going here, so we're picking up momentum again here and the incubating is going much better than with the early eggs.
somehow we have 11 ducklings. Not sure where the extra one came from, but we will take it....
Okay, let's all get our thinking caps straight and decide and come to one opinion if possible, I only had white calls remember what Christmas before last now, okay ordered a pair of Butterscotch and a pair of Blue Fawns, now that I have got a little wiser and better (NOT MUCH I GRANT YOU PRO'S), but a little, and I looked at per say Show Case Stables--- Blue Fawn's, and others Blue Fawn's, mine do not have the deep dark mallard rich goldens to them, I am going to post 3 pictures, tell me your opinion to what you yourself see in coloring, breed, etc. that I have bought, and if I have them paired right if they even are pairs
Now in the first picture I am in questioned first about the two little ducks to the left, then I bought a extra hen Friday that is in the picture to the right, the guy said he was sold it as a Australian silver head bantam, what is your opinion on that bantam hen to them right breed, color and etc. Oh I have another question, I bought some snowys, going to post them in third picture, was told there was 2 different drakes a brown head and blue head, is there even such a thing that snowy drakes have different color choices but hens are just snowy across the board? Oh yeah, I posted a photo album on FaceBook with all new photo's I took of our critters, well most of our critters, yesterday, you all go looky
Okay give me the brutal truth, don't hold back or have any mercy, now I did not ask about QUALITY, only the breeds, pairing and colors
Okay, so I just was looking in the BYC Other birds and poultry for sale, and guess what I see, a picture just like that extra hen that I purchased as a Australian Silver head, well there is one for sale and they put it with a Australian spotted green head, and states they won best breed at spring fowl fest, so let me go get her and put her over in with my Australian spotted green head and his wife, they got a herone going on now
Okay which pen are you wanting pictures of LOL, the above ground standing brooder duckling pen?? Or the adult duck pen in the photo's I posted just better angles? You tell me and I will photo away and post for you, ASAP

do you have a bigger picture of your duckling pen? Always looking for new ideas.
that rhymed, no, no, no mrs turbo, rolls of the tongue nicely also,
what I was inquiring about was this person had a hen and two drakes for sale in AL. they were snowy's, I was going to buy them, mailed the box, had a addressed envelope taped inside with her money order for them and the returned postage stamps along with the return mailing label, well when the horizon box got to her it was completely crushed A BRAND NEW BOX NOW, but destroyed, my money order and postage stamps and return label were gone, so I lost again $$150 trying to get some call ducks that struck my eye and were really beautiful. But any way, they had that flood and my ducks were tornadorized, and died, but her sons friend a 16 yr old girl right down the road the tornado hit directly on top of them in there house, killed the momma and daddy and 2 sisters, and his friend was in ICU puntured lung, broke neck and back, and fractured legs and arms, and she was in pretty bad shape, along with all the devestation it did. But any way she had a hen and two drakes and she ask did I want both drakes or one, that she had a brown head snowy and another name she called the other one, I said I didn't know there was a difference and didn't know hte snowy had optional snowy drakes. So, that was what I was asking for future refernce, if the Snowy had alternative breed color's or names to identify them.
Mrs. Turbo :
are you asking if the brown headed snowys are drakes? The females can have brown heads or white heads.
Hello all you call duck lovers. I'm new to this blog too. I got three new calls (or so i was told they were) for my b-day begining of April. They seem to look much bigger than my original calls. They are tiny and cute. I still love the new ones but i can't get anyone to agree on what colours my birds are. Can the pros on this blog help me out? Here are some picks of my first two i rescued from a neighbour who was so called getting rid of them.My female.
My male.
My new females, i know they are white calls but they look big.
