Bantam Duck Pictures

They are really cute. What is their names and ages? Thanks for sharing their pics.

The Pied Calls were named by my daughter and they are Anna and Kristoff. I haven't named my Australian Spotted Ducks as I have 11 of them. I finally got around to banding them tonight so I know who is going to be bred to who. These are all last June-July hatches. I really love their personalities as they can be very clownish.

You can see why it can be hard to tell who is who. They are a big wiggly mess. The silvers are easier to recognize.

They are so cute. I don't blame you for banding them I sure couldn't tell the difference. I have 2 ducks that are identical. Thelma did have a pink band on her foot but she lost it in the yard. Now we just call them both Thelma and Louise. Thanks for sharing their pics they are cuties.

Thelma and Louse are cute names. I currently have two Golden Cascade drakes that we had to segregate. We call them the rapist twins so you can guess why they are currently kept separately. They are way too large to be jumping my bantams. I won't get girlfriends for them until next month as they are in Oregon and I am in Washington. Lol

So Kristoff dug out of his pen by burrowing under the snow yesterday. By the time I went out at 8:00 to take care of my animals, something had ripped his head off. So my little Call Drake is no longer with us. I am so tired of predators. It seems like if they get out for even 20 minutes, something kills them. My dogs take care of most of them but the owls are ambush hunters. They never get away with the bodies but by the time my dogs bust them, my bird is always dead.

So sorry to hear that :(

I have this blue penciled pied drake for sale if you are looking for another. Hes a bit on the larger side and only PQ but a nice little duck

I think I have found a blue drake fairly close by, in the same state anyways. I am hoping he is still for sale when my son drives over that way later in February. I am bummed as I was really looking forward to my first Call ducklings. I cried over him dying. You would think I would be used to it by now but certain birds really make you ache when they get killed. My Bantam ducks are all my pets. I keep them for the joy of just having them.

Thank you though!
