Bantam eggs are late..

Oh no...I think there's something wrong with one of the bantams! All the rest are up and  walking and this little guy just hunches over and can't walk. He sits on his haunches and can't seem to rock himself up onto his feet to walk even though he tries! Its not splay leg or something like that cause his legs are normal he just sits funny?

Edit; I put him back in the incubator for a bit and he seems to be getting stronger, maybe thats all he needs!

I hope he gets better!! Do u have pics of ur banties!?

This is what i get for having a favourite! The cutest chick died this morning, i have no idea why!

The only thing i could see at all wrong with it was that it slept all the time, i hardly ever saw it walking about or eating or drinking, is this my fault for not noticing that and doing something!?

Aw, so sorry to hear that! Sometimes when chickens fade away like that it can be a good idea to give them some sugarmixed water with a syringe to boost up their energy. I also have been told to mix in some sugar with their feed for the first few days. But sometimes they just die despites all of our efforts, and there's not much we can do about it.

Hope the rest of your banties will keep up and grow into beautiful adult birds!

Thank you! All the others seem healthy and happy but I think I'll add some sugar to their water just to be on the safe side.
