I've read a lot of threads about people trying to develop a bantam version for the marans.
Has anyone successfully done it?
I'm not interested in the breed, but I have a young roo that I believe would be a great addition to a bantam project... He's 5 months old and half of the size he should be. I got him with 2 other roos (Bev Davis line) that are twice his size, and my 2 months old cockerels are almost as big as him.
I don't want him breeding with my hens because I don't want to spread any "midget" genes to his offsprings.
He's a French Blue Copper Marans. But too small and too unique to go to the pot.
Anyone interested on this great addition to a bantam project?
