Bantam mottled javas?

The Java bantam and the Java large fowl aren't related - they're completely different breeds. For example, the Java bantam - from Indonesia - has a rose comb, but the large fowl - from the United States - has a single comb.

Yes, in Europe Javas are what we call the Rosecomb, we are talking about bantam Javas, of the American breed

I raise LF mottled Javas, and I haven't seen or heard of anyone with the bantums. Also, just because they were excepted doesn't mean that they are still around. Odds, are they are but probably very few. They may have been popular then died off. Probably just like the Large fowl did. I will keep my eye open for you. I know several breeders of LF Javas, who knows, they may surface one day. Good luck~ Tacey

Europe has all of the cool breeds? Really?
There are countless varieties of chickens here in the United States that could use dedicated breeders attention but fall by the way side because everyone wants the "new, cool" gotta have variety so they can make money selling hatching eggs for exorbitant prices.
Sorry, just venting on a friday but cmon people.
The reason why Europe still has alot of the varieties that are non-existant here in the US is because small flocks of birds are still allowed all over Europe in peoples yards and what not, like the USED to be here in the US. Now with all of the subdivisions and deed restrictions here in the US you cant have anything unless its a useless dog or cat. God forbid we actually have animals that sustain ourselves!
Ok done with my rant for now.
Have a great day!
