Bantam Muscovies

It might not be me doing this. I will have to see later in the year because starting a project like this might be too much for a housewife's pocketbook, LOL. I wanna do it though.

Thank you guys for your thoughtful posts. You gave me a lot of good reading, Resolution. I will reread your replies often when I hopefully start this project. I have always wanted Mandarins, this might be my excuse to actually get a few later in the year.

Lovin, do your Muscovies ever raise much smaller than average young? If I do start this project, I would want to start with the smallest Scovies I could find.

I don't have any small Muscovies.
Maybe someone has pics of their small Scovies,

i've been thinking about this post, i often see small muscovy, it took me 18 months of searching and driving to get together a flock of fairly big muscovy, anyway i came to thinking that the very first clutch of eggs a duck lays are often small. i dont keep any birds from the first clutch because of this. so, if you constantly bred from that small first clutch, and selected the smallest birds each time, theoratically you'd eventually get bantams??????? its the opposite of what i do.
