bantam peacocks?

I was wondering the same thing and found Palawan peacocks. Full grown, they are the same size as my smallest phoenix hen.

those are pretty. i looked them up on google. but that's a naturally occuring species. i want full on indian blue, green, pied, or white but mini. the palawan would be worth having they look like quail.

I too have seen the peacock Arbor is referring to; it's interesting, but I won't be disclosing any information about it! Yet, as new 2 pfowl said, you just need less birds. Even a small peafowl would still need plenty of space.

In regards to Palawan Peacock Pheasants: they belong to genus Polyplectron and are related to birds like Spurfowl. They are a tropical pheasant, not a peafowl. Peacock Pheasants are not compatible with peafowl, or any other pheasant species. They are best kept with smaller birds like partridges or quail. Palawan Peacock Pheasants are more expensive than the majority of common peafowl and have many more requirements. For instance, they require winter heating and cannot tolerate the cold. If you are interested in Peacock Pheasants, Grey Peacock Pheasants are typically the beginner peacock pheasant, being the cold-hardiest and a dependable layer. Peacock Pheasants are wonderful when done right, so I just wanted to clear some misconceptions about them.

i still don't have the space. even a pair of peacocks would be happier free range. and i have rottweillers

where would one get a palawan though? because they are pretty. but they are on the threatened species list.

There are collections that breed Palwan Peacock Pheasants. Some major breeders are in Florida and California. If you are seriously interested in them, send me a PM and we can discuss them more and I can refer you to some breeders.

Although them and other species are threatened, you are able to get them and breed them. Birds like Cabot's tragopans require an Endangered Species license.
