I got two of these little guys at the feedstore the other day(they needed me). I feel confident they will be considerably smaller than the the rest of the flock (barred rock, faverolle, EE, standard cochin, there is one bantam cross). Will the bigger girls get mounted when he gets older or will they buck him off? Just wondering.

It just depends upon how determined he is and how submissive they are.

I've seen it done many times by OEGB over RIRs, leghorns, BRs and Sex links.

I get fertile eggs from my EE hen who's more than twice the size of my Old English bantam rooster.

They will try and may or may not be successful. When it comes to reproduction, where there's a will, there's a way.

From that pic looks like a silver duckwing roo to me. They are great little birds and can mate just about any bantam size hen.I have 2 roo's right now and they pretty much stick with thier own hens or their size hen's.

My 5 month old little bantam cochin roo "Bug" has no problems with his much larger ladies a light brahma mix, a BLRW and an EE. He also lives with a bantam cochin mix pullet. The bigger girls submit to him without question ~ perhaps because they all were from the same hatch and have always been together.
