Hi all - Just wanted to show off my bantam silkie/cochin mixes. These four siblings were given to us for free as our first chickens. My research said the two breeds are very friendly. And they are!! I'm so glad.

They r good mothers also! Mine laid her first dozen eggs and went broody. I think frizzled cochin/silkie cross is called a sizzle, right? Anyway, they can b a little flighty but very gentle. I think u will enjoy them

How precious! I have Silkies and Cochins in bantam and standard. I hope if any of mine decide to cross that they will be good broodys and sweet with us, too. I may just have to cross them up if I ever have the room..........

Cutie pies. I have a cochin/EE mix that is a sweetie. I am hoping to have some silkies hatch in 20 days from eggs I got in the mail. I already have cochins. hmm???? maybe I'll let one hen and roo cross the see if I get some great natural brooders.
