I happened to pick up some eggs from a wonderful family that breeds these special little creatures. At the time, I didn’t know how uncommon they were. I am not talking about a cross/mix but a Bantam Cochin with the hookless feather gene that breeds true. I am not sure where her flock began but from googling around I believe they originated with a gentleman man named Steve Wheat that had a farm called the Bantam Barn in Alabama. Does anyone else have these marvelous Silkied Cochins? Waiting for mine to hatch.

I have some girls that are Batam and look some what like that...(I don’t know what breed they for sure tho)

I recently got a cockerel that I believe could be a silkied Cochin - I’ve posted pictures!
