I went out to the coop this morning to let all the chickens out and one was missing. Last weekend I bought 5 bantams. 2 of them are sultans. One has been acting very quiet for a few days. She was always trying to get up under the other sultan's wing or just sitting with her eyes closed. She did, however, continue to eat and drink. This morning I found her in the little crate (which all the bantams sleep in, their choice) laying on her side. I thought she was dead. But her foot moved. Her eyes are closed and she moves a foot or opens her mouth now & then. I wonder if she's in a coma. Silly question? I don't know. Poor little thing. I keep watching for breathing. I'm sure she'll go any minute. Sad....

Poor thing, so sorry. Not sure if chickens can be in a coma but she sounds like she's near the end. Wish I had some suggestions for you.
