hello all....i would like you to meet Tiny...i am not really sure what he is but....he was a freebie...some college boys bought some chicks and the college girls returned them because the boys were not taking care of them

Tiny came home yesterday....i noticed that the tip of his toe was going to fall off...didnt seem to bother him/her....was drinking and eating...when he wasnt doing that he was cheeping like no tomorrow...luvs to be held...just leans up against your hand....

NOW LOOK AT HIS FOOT!!!!!
i think he/she was getting picked on so we took him out of the brooder....he is now in the house in a little box w/ food and water....he is also on a cloth instead of pine shavings because of his foot....any ideas how i can help him????

he is still cheeping like mad...not lethargic...but his foot looks terrible....all swollen and red....HELP!!!!!!!!

OH SORRY...I FORGOT THE PICS....LOL

Looks like it has been injured somehow, maybe pecked by others or got caught on something in a cage?
I would clean it with peroxide and apply triple antibiotic ointment or Neosporin.
Keep him separated from the others until it heals.
Other than that, he's a cutie

i cleaned his/her foot w/ peroxide...put neosporin on it...kept him/her in a little box w/ food and sugar water on top of a heating pad on low heat for him/her
s/he continued cheeping off and on...sleeping when s/he wasnt...the foot turned back to the normal color...was still swollen but not as much

the heating pad has an auto off mechanism so every couple hours i got up and turned it back on...if i woke him/her up i gave him/her a couple drops of sugar water
s/he was very weak this morning...not cheeping as loud...made some mash w/ milk...

anyway...s/hes gone to chixn heaven
