bantam with sore foot

Hello everyone. I have an Australorp bantam with a sore foot. The pad is swollen and there is a dark spot in the pad. It looks like a verruca. I thought it might be a thorn but it's not. Can hens get verrucas (planter's warts)? Suggestions for treatment appreciated.

It could be bumblefoot, which is when a chicken jumps from a perch which is too high. There will be a swelling which looks like a corn or wart. You might need anti-inflammitory drops from a vet and a jab for the pain. See a vet, who might be able to diagnos it.
