Bantam with Top - Hat what breed?

Not a Pyncheon. The bird isn't an actual color, and Pyncheons don't have feathered feet. This bird has slate colored legs, and the Pyncheon's legs are not. Comb isn't correct either.

Well, feathered feet does help.

If the bird is a Polish mix, the other parent most likely has feathered feet in their genes. I'm guessing 4 toes?

Mrs. Fluffy Puffy :

Well her dad had a buttercup comb, and when King ( her dad ) was her age he looked the same as her! That's why I'm wondering if shes a mixed buttercup??? And she has a crest as you can see! I'll try'n take pictures when the snow is gone! It may be like Monday or Tuesday before I can take pics! Well now that I see your bird taras - farm he may be half spitzhauben and half polish or something, maybe? By the way bueatiful bird you have there! How is she a purebred??? Oh, sorry about now posting anything in awhile!

I think it is very likely the dad was a cross as well but still not a buttercup. Unlikely that it is spitzhauben(to me anyway) I will say the father was a mixed silver laced Polish-- mixed with who knows then the father mixed with another mixed Polish to end up with this bird. I have several mixed Polish and am starting on the second generation of mixes and they look a lot like your hen(not in color since mine are splash mixes but in size and crest size and shape).

That would be my guess.

Also adding, that's not such a bad thing. Whether she has Polish in her or another crested breed, I'm 99.9% sure she's a mutt. You could still enjoy her. I myself love my mutts.

Yes, so do I! Most of my bantams are all mutts! But, they'er all my little BABIES! I'm trying to tame her down some! She's kinda WILD! They were reared by their mom, so I didn't have a chance to tame them down while they were young! Most of the time I hand rear the chicks myself and they get pretty friendly that way! Thanks for all the posts everybody!
