Are bantam chickens a good option if you don’t have the space for regular sized chickens?

Yes and no. Footspace, usually, but they like to jump and fly more too in my experience.
While smaller they still have all the needs of larger chickens like a proper sized coop and run, access to dirt to scratch and dust bathe in, proper feed and fresh water.
agreeBantams require less space, food, water, and they also poop less. All of these equal to a big plus when raising chickens, but always remember that no matter the size, chickens should have space to forage. Bantams like to fly more than large fowl, so make sure they have high space.
