Very good bantams! such a sweet story. they are good parents to any chick that hatches.

A DF gave me the pair and I have no idea what kind they are. He is our main Roo over 26 pullets and 2 hens. I put 5 RIR eggs under Juliet the bantam hen when she was broody. She did a great job of keeping all the eggs warm. I broke one of her eggs when I was attempting to candle them, and one was a dud....the other three hatched and were cockerals. They did a fine job of teaching them to scratch and fly up high to roost and they were a lot of fun to watch. As the RIR "triplets" became larger and larger, it was quite funny to sit and watch them obey their parents and go to bed when told and come and see the worm dad caught when called..... It was very sweet to see.
