Bantams for Meaties

I know bantams can be used for meaties, but are not bred for the purpose. I'm wondering if there are existing breeds which might make a more flavorful alternative to CX "game hens" If so what would they be? How long would it take to grow them out and would there be any benefit from caponizing the same as a full size bird?
I want to try regardless so speculation as to good breed choices would be helpful from more experienced poultry fanciers.
