Welcome Marta! I love the breed Cochin bantams they are so sweet and mine love to snuggle. Brahmas are awesome too. I have only had LF in them but they are such sweet birds too. I hope you enjoy BYC as much as we all do!

Haha, Aart, are you from the Netherlands? Actually I didn't name her, but she is named after a Dutch actor Aart Startjes who just died. He is a man, but Aart sort of means earth as well, and we are not so gender oriented, so the woman that named her figured out was a good chicken name.

I live in the Netherlands by the way, and I'll update my profile accordingly.

I will also check in with the people in the "breed or gender" department about the colours. And leave an update here if I find out!

Already met you in peeps in Europe. But here I could find out what kind of chickens you have.
Great name to remember Aart of the Dutch Sesame street. I have two Sesame streets names for my chickens too. Pino and Ini mini.

Naming them after Aart the chicken jugler. Who rises high like an eagle above the earth would have been fine by me too.
Wish you lots of fun and good advices in this world of chickens.
