I have 9 standard chickens (mainly barred rocks) and two bantams. In the fall the bantams were our main layers, but now our bantams aren't laying at all. Its been a good three weeks. Is this normal, or something to be concerned about. They seem healthy, and our standards are laying well for winter.

thanks in advance!

Hi, welcome to the forum.

Well, they could be molting themselves. when my chicks were molting they weren't laying any eggs.
OR they could be sick or sometimes even stressed out by someting.

At this time of the year the days are getting short, so many hens stop laying. Most hens need around 14 hours of light per day to keep them in production. Some people put a light in the coop to keep the hens laying, but this can shorten their laying lives and possibly cause problems later on.
