I’ve recently re-homed my male Guinea after he killed two of my roosters in less than a month. Someone was nice enough to give me a rooster they were needing to re-home, but sadly he’s too big for my Silver Duck Wing, Bantam hen. I know many of you on here have many years of experience with chickens so I figured I would post before looking to buy a couple. I want one Bantam rooster, and one Bantam hen, but was wondering which breeds are more visually attractive, or over all more requested by breeders. Please let me know your thoughts.

I have two bantam breeds that I like. Both breeds are easy to work with and have qualities that make them an excellent choice-Serama and Phoenix. Some people pass over Phoenix because they think them hard to keep looking good. I have found this to be untrue if they are free range or have a lot of room. We're having a wet muddy spring this year and, even so, the Phoenix look great. Some consider serama as delicate-again not true. As far as bantam breeds go I think serama are the best.

Feather footed breeds tend to be more docile, less flighty and are friendly so cochins are my favorite.

I like OEGBs too and you already have a silver duckwing hen. My favorite are the blue golden duckwings. There are so many OEBG colours I'm sure you will be able to find a good match for your hen.
