Bantams

Realistically when it comes to coops 'bigger is better'. Square footage given is generally a minimal space. For optimum quality of life more space is best.

Yes for sure. We also keep less than we can (we have 9 hens in a coop that could fit 13-14). I always provide extra space. Was just curious.

Bantams may be smaller, but still, don't go smaller than 4 sq. ft. per bird. Peace and harmony are wonderful things!
Bantams are more vulnerable to raptor attacks, being smaller, and may need to be on lockdown for weeks at a time for that, if nothing else.
What breeds are you looking to get?

I love bantam Cochins, Mille fleurs and D’Uccles! Cochins will be easy to find, not sure about the others. Will have to keep my eye out.

Millie fleur is a color, not a breed. Many people call Belgian d'Uccles, who come in that color, by that name, but the chickens are either Belgian d'Uccles, with muffs, or Belgian Booted Bantams, without muffs. If it matters to you at all...
I love the cute muffs, myself!
Bantam Cochins are really nice, and so are bantam Brahmas, and bantam Easter Eggers.

Hahahha Whoops. That’s funny.
Ok so my main interests are Belgian d’Uccles with muffs (porcelain or Mille fleur.....), Bantam Cochins or even bantam Ameraucanas as they are my favourite breed in standard size!

You can get all of those breeds on my pet chicken - I’m ordering, and I get four more bantams to add to my Cochin flock! Good luck finding your breeds! Order soon so you can get them earlier! And I agree more space is better!
